Participating Veterinarians

The veterinarians in our community work in cooperation with the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region to provide care for the animals in the Colorado Springs area. We would not be successful in our job without the support of the Colorado Springs Area Veterinarians. The Humane Society has an evaluation center where veterinary technicians examine all animals and provide for the ongoing general care of the animals at the shelter. We do not have an on-site veterinary clinic.

When you adopt a dog or cat from the Humane Society, you are issued certificates that entitle you to receive 1 free physical exam, a rabies vaccination, and the pet’s spay or neuter operation.

The following list of veterinary clinics have agreed to accept the Humane Society’s certificates and are performing these procedures for us at reduced fees as a way of thanking you for adopting a homeless animal. We hope that you develop a lifelong association with your veterinarian and your pet for both routine annual exams and emergency care.
